Oren Butchmits is the CTO of the Israeli National Cyber Directorate (INCD) and an overall technology enthusiast. He has been active in the high-tech industry for the past 25 years across various domains, including software development, Cloud, AI, Telco, Satellite, Mobile, and Ecommerce. Before joining the INCD, Butchmits worked for five years at the Privacy Protection Authority, a regulatory body within the Israeli Ministry of Justice, serving as Deputy Director of Enforcement. In this role, he led large-scale cybercrime investigations, utilizing various computer forensics methodologies. Prior to that, Butchmits worked in a range of high-tech companies, including large enterprises and startups, primarily focusing on designing Next-Generation product lines. Butchmits holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Operational Research, as well as an MBA from Tel Aviv University’s Executive Program.
