Avner Halperin is an entrepreneur, executive and researcher in the fields of digital health and technology policy. He serves as CEO of Sheba Impact – the commercialization and entrepreneurship arm of Sheba Medical Center, where hleads the creation of dozens of breakthrough medical technology startups and the building of a vibrant healthtech ecosystem around Sheba. In addition, he is a Research Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School where he published models for promoting technology ecosystems in the Middle East. He is also a lecturer at Tel-Aviv University on Big Data Economics and Chairman of the Board at EyeControl Ltd. Previously, he was the founding CEO of EarlySense – taking the company from an idea to becoming standard of care in US hospitals. Earlier, he was VP Marketing at Radcom (NASDAQ: RDCM), R&D leader at Eldat (acquired by Pricer (PRIC.ST)), and head of an R&D department in the Intelligence Corps of the IDF. Avner earned an M.Sc. in Applied Physics from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from MIT, where he published research on globally dispersed teams. In 2019 he gave a TED talk on AI in Healthcare. He is the inventor of 34 US Patents.
